An Independent, Measurement-Based Approach to Saddle Fit
The Western Saddle Fitter combines objective measurements with hands-on evaluation to understand how and why a saddle fits, considering the horse's anatomy, saddle characteristics, rider needs, and movement as appropriate to each service. As an independent fitter, I provide brand-independent assessments and recommendations to help you make informed decisions—whether adjusting your current saddle, shopping for something new or used, or working with a saddle maker.
In person fits are limited to the greater Treasure Valley, Idaho, USA.
First we establish what you need. Then we use that information to evaluate your options.
Full Saddle Fit - $250
A complete in-person saddle fit assessment designed to establish a clear baseline for horse, saddle, and rider. Includes measurements, saddle evaluation, rider fit, findings, and recommendations.
Best For
✔ New clients in the greater Treasure Valley without an established TWSF baseline
✔ Horses whose fit needs have changed significantly
✔ Clients beginning a saddle search who do not yet know their specifications
✔ Situations where new horse measurements and a complete assessment are needed
Saddle Check / Refit - $175
In-person evaluation of a current existing or trial saddle when a set of horse measurements is not required. New baseline measurements are not included in this service.
Best For
✔ Existing clients when sufficient baseline information is already on file
✔ Checking and adjusting a current saddle after changes or conditioning
✔ Evaluating a saddle on trial when a new full measurement set is not needed
If measurements are deemed necessary at time of service, the fit will be reassessed at the Full Saddle Fit rate.
Live Virtual Fit Consult - $125
A live remote fit consultation using your horse and a current saddle (even if you know it doesn't fit) as the working baseline to assess fit, discuss findings, and identify appropriate next steps or saddle characteristics.

Additional Services for Existing TWSF Clients
Additional Saddle Consulting - $25/15 min.
Continued professional support after your TWSF fitting for evaluating prospective saddles, research, comparing options, reviewing listings/photos/measurements, or discussing next steps.
Available in 15-minute increments after the follow-up saddle reviews included with your fitting have been used.
Minimum increment is 30 minutes.
